Linda Young is the Owner of The Law Firm of Linda M. Young. Ms. Young represents health care organizations with her primary focus in the area of recoupment appeals such as Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC) and Medicaid Integrity Contractors (MIC). Prior to graduating from law school, she served as a Registered Health Information Administrator and is highly skilled in the practice of ICD-9 coding and DRG assignment, with over 20 years of experience. Linda has served on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Health Information Management Association in various roles including Vice President of Legislative Affairs. In a 1996, after transitioning her career toward Management, Ms. Young received recognition from the Massachusetts Health Information Management Association as their Outstanding New Professional of the year. Ms. Young has spoken on various health care audit issues for organizations in the North East. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, American BAR Association, Massachusetts BAR Association, American Health Information Management Association, and the Massachusetts Health Information Management Association.
